Description
Primitivo di Manduria Stilio di Mottura is a full-bodied and structured red wine produced with selected Primitivo grapes from the best vineyards in the province of Taranto. The vines are mainly grown as saplings on calcareous and clayey soils, guaranteeing quality and aromatic concentration. The label recalls the Salento tradition, enriching the sensory experience with a symbol that represents the local culture and the roots of the territory.
The vinification follows a traditional maceration of the grapes for 10-12 days, with controlled fermentation to preserve the aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 6 months in first and second passage French oak barriques, followed by a further 2-3 months of refinement in the bottle. This process enhances the typicality of Primitivo and accentuates its harmonious and profound character.
Deep red in color with purple highlights, it offers an austere bouquet of red fruit jam, morello cherry and dried plum, accompanied by elegant tertiary notes of vanilla and cloves. On the palate it is velvety, full and harmonious, with a structure that enhances its persistence and softness.
This red wine pairs perfectly with red meats, roasts, mature cheeses and game.
