Description
The Primitivo di Manduria Passo del Cardinale by Paolo Leo was born in vineyards located between the villages of Manduria and Sava, in the province of Taranto.
It is produced exclusively with Primitivo grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand at the first hours of dawn. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C for 8-10 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 3 months in American oak barrels and for 6 months in steel, before being bottled.
The Passo del Cardinale by Paolo Leo has an intense red color. The nose opens with elegant and intense spicy aromas. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, with a pleasantly persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with red meats and game.
