Description

Sandeman's Late Bottled Vintage Port comes from the renowned Douro area, known worldwide for the production of great fortified wines.

It is the result of a blend of wines from the same vintage carefully selected to give life to a port with a strong, full and fruity character. After a soft pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in steel at a controlled temperature, with intense extractive maceration. Before being put on the market, it undergoes a 4-year aging in wood and is bottled without filtration in order to keep the style of the wines that compose it intact. During the maturation that takes place in oak barrels, the product is frequently extracted and tasted to monitor its evolution.

It has a deep ruby red color. The nose evokes a medium intense and complex perfume, with balsamic notes, of resin and black fruits, enriched with spicy tones of black pepper. On the palate it is full and vibrant, with robust tannins and a finish of great balance.

Wonderful to accompany medium-aged cheeses, it goes perfectly with chocolate or fresh fruit desserts.
