Description
Obtained following a double maturation process in ex-Porto barrels, this single malt scotch whiskey is dedicated to the daring Scottish port traders who challenged the open sea to contribute to its diffusion. Port Ruighe, to be read 'Portree' is the Gaelic name of a port once very active on the island of Skye and today the name of the largest city on the island.
This whiskey has an intense amber colour with golden highlights. The nose perceives a sweet and balanced smoky hint that ends on a fruity note of ripe plum. In the mouth it shows a soft and medium-bodied whiskey, with a smoky and pepper flavour that mixes with peaty and black fruit notes.
Ideal to be enjoyed straight in small sips.
