Description

The Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots from the Parent domain is proof of great oenological ability, capable of fully expressing the unique characteristics of Pinot Noir, which finds its homeland of choice in the clay-limestone soils of the Pommard area.

Manual harvesting allows the best grapes to be carefully selected. This is followed by a pre-fermentative maceration at a low temperature of 3-5 days which precedes a fermentation at a controlled temperature of 18-20 days. Aging is carried out in partially new French oak barrels for 16-18 months.

The color is an intense ruby red, which anticipates an expressive nose with aromas of violet, cherry and strawberry. On the palate it is elegant and dense, with silky tannins and a remarkable balance.

Particularly suitable for accompanying noble poultry-based preparations, it is excellent paired with mushrooms and mature cheeses.
