Description
The Pommard of the Douhariet-Porcheret domaine comes to life from the vineyards near Volnay, within the Pommard appellation, renowned for the production of excellent quality red wines. It is an ideal location that benefits from optimal climatic conditions for the maturation of Pinot Noir.
The harvest of the grapes takes place manually in small perforated boxes in the coolest hours of the morning to preserve the integrity of the bunches, which are harvested once they have reached the perfect level of ripeness. Fermentation takes place in the traditional way, after which the wine matures for 15 months in partially new French oak barrels.
It presents a brilliant ruby red color to the eye. On the nose it releases notes of cloves and blackberry which are enriched with a light spicy touch that invites tasting. On the palate it is dry and soft, with a beautiful persistence that underlines the fineness of the tannins.
It is ideal in combination with red meats and game-based dishes.
