Description
Château Trotanoy is a prestigious Bordeaux reality, considered one of the Premier Crus of Pomerol already at the end of the 18th century, whose soil is composed of a mixture of clay and gravel which, after rain, solidifies acquiring a compactness similar to cement, resulting "trop anoi", meaning too tiring to work, in medieval French, hence the name.
It is obtained mainly from Merlot grapes, with a small addition of Cabernet Franc grapes to complete the blend. The vinification takes place in small concrete tanks and is elevated in oak barrels.
It presents itself to the eye with a deep ruby red color. Broad and intense on the nose, notes of black fruits, aromatic herbs and spices emerge from the glass. In the mouth it is concentrated and full-bodied, with soft tannins.
It pairs very well with grilled red meats, game dishes and mature cheeses.
