Description

With the red wine Pinocchio, Piccini offers a journey through 3 regions (Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Apulia) to recall the adventures of the famous puppet from Collodi. The wine combines 3 great red grape varieties: the floral and complex Sangiovese from Tuscany meets the freshness of the Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna, all enveloped by the warmth of the black fruit of Negroamaro. The particular shape of the bottle is meant to mimic the shape of traditional flasks.

After a soft pressing, there is a brief maceration on the skins, aimed at enhancing the fruity characteristics of the wine; it is vinified and aged exclusively in steel, thus emphasizing greater lightness and versatility of this red wine.

Intense ruby red in the glass, it reveals citrus aromas, strawberries, blackberries, and forest fruits on the nose, as well as spicy notes and aromatic herbs. The sip is fresh and exuberant.

Pinocchio pairs very well with fish soups and meat-based first courses; served chilled, it is ideal for aperitifs.
