Description
BollaCiao by Fontanafredda is a classic method sparkling wine born in Piedmont.
It is produced from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. After soft pressing, the must obtained is statically decanted, then sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature (18-20 °C). Subsequently the wine is kept in contact with the lees until spring, and then proceeds to the realization of the cuvée. Second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the rules of the Metodo Classico, with a minimum of 10 months ageing on the lees.
It has a straw yellow colour with greenish reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with hints of white and yellow flowers, citrus fruits and bread crust. The sip is fresh and savoury, with a sweet and long finish.
Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with all courses.
