Description

The "Macerato" Piemonte DOC Bianco Ruj comes from the vineyards owned by the San Silvestro family in Monferrato, characterized by perfect southern exposure. This wine is produced with Cortese and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, using a maceration technique that is usually applied to red wines, giving it a distinctive character and a high density of flavours. The family's winemaking tradition is thus brought back into vogue with a one-of-a-kind macerated white wine.

The winemaking process involves a 25-day maceration, followed by an 8-month refinement in 500-liter French oak tonneaux. This long refinement helps to develop an aromatic complexity and an elegant structure, enhancing the varietal characteristics of Cortese and Sauvignon Blanc. The result is a rich and harmonious wine, which reflects the terroir and craftsmanship of the winery.

At sight, the "Macerato" Piemonte DOC Bianco Ruj has an intense golden color. On the nose, hints of sweet orange peel and citrus notes emerge, while on the palate it is full, juicy and velvety, with a pleasant elegance and a long persistence. Its viscosity and its expressive aromas make it a wine of great character.

This wine pairs perfectly with mature cheeses and cured meats, as well as baked fish dishes and oily fish.
