Description
Peychaud's is a bitter based on gentian and other aromatic herbs, which has become famous for being the essential ingredient in the composition of the famous Sazerac cocktail, "the unforgettable drink" of New Orleans.
It is characterized by a vibrant red color. On the nose it expresses evident hints of gentian, enriched with notes of anise and mint. In the mouth it is light and delicate, pleasantly sweet.
Excellent in the Sazerac cocktail, in which it integrates perfectly with the Rye Whiskey, it takes part in intriguing cognac and bourbon based cocktails, such as Seelbach and Vieux Carré.
