Description
Patrick Piuze's Petit Chablis Fortis comes from the prestigious Chablis region in Burgundy, France. This wine is grown on a small plot in the lieu-dit Petit Preuses, adjacent to the Grand Cru Bougros. Although it is not classified as a Grand Cru due to its orientation, the terrain stands out for its excellence. The geological formation of the soil dates back 180 million years, with clay and decomposed limestone enriched by tiny fossilized oyster shells, giving a unique character to the wine.
Fermentation and maturation takes place in neutral barrels, to preserve and enhance the natural qualities of Chardonnay. This method enhances the purity and freshness of the grape variety.
The wine has a straw yellow color. On the nose, lively hints of white pulp fruits emerge which introduce a palate characterized by notable structure, austerity and marked minerality. The salinity and finesse are balanced in an exemplary way, offering a rich tasting experience.
It is ideal as an accompaniment to appetizers and pairs beautifully with fish and shellfish dishes. Its structure and minerality make it particularly suitable for enhancing the delicate flavors of the sea, making every tasting a moment of oenological pleasure.
