Description
Château Larrivet Haut-Brion tells the story of a family dedicated to creating great wines, with a bold and visionary spirit.
The varieties grown include Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with manual harvesting taking place from late September to mid-October. The alcoholic fermentation takes place with maceration for 12 days to extract the noble substances from the skin of the grapes harvested at their perfect level of ripeness. Aging takes place for 14-18 months in partially new oak barrels.
Dark and vivid ruby red in colour, it is direct and fresh on the nose, with notes of blackcurrant and licorice, accompanied by hints that bring to mind green pepper and menthol. Very elegant and pleasantly savory on the palate, it is characterized by silky tannins and a long-lasting finish.
It pairs perfectly with red meat dishes in general, as well as with roasted or grilled lamb.
