Description

Pessac-Léognan Le Petit is the second wine of Château Smith Haut Lafitte but made and cared for with the same attention reserved for the first wine of the château.

It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, the result of a double selection step, fermented whole in steel tanks. Aging takes place in oak barrels, a small part of which are new, for 14 months.

Intense ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with notes of blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate. On the palate it is fine and structured, with velvety tannins.

Excellent to combine with second courses based on red meat, it lends itself to accompanying all recipes based on game.
