Description
The Grand Cru classé is produced by Château Carbonnieux, one of the oldest wineries in the Bordeaux region, with a history dating back to 1200.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carménère grapes are vinified in 35% new French oak barrels. Finally the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.
Purple-red in color, it reveals aromas of blueberry and plum compote, spices and dried herbs to the nose. The sip is powerful, with a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with red meats, game and aged cheeses.
