Description
Plantation's Peru Rum is obtained by distillation in column stills of the molasses of sugar cane coming from Chicama Valley, an extremely arid region of the northern Peruvian coast. The aging process takes place for 12 years in the terroir of origin in Slavonian and ex-bourbon oak barrels and for 2-3 years in France in ex-Ferrand cognac barrels.
It shows an amber yellow color. The olfactory spectrum revolves around aromas of caramel and ripe figs, joined by hints of licorice and molasses. The sip is characterized by smoky and woody notes, with aromas of pastry, almond, white pepper, vanilla and nutmeg.
Perfect to be consumed straight or with ice.
