Description
Pernand-Vergelesses Les Combottes from Domaine Rapet is an elegant white Burgundy wine made from Chardonnay grapes grown on south-west facing soils. The vineyard parcel is located in the hamlet of Pernand-Vergelesses, known for its light marly soil, ideal for viticulture.
The vinification involves a soft pressing with a pneumatic press, followed by fermentation in wooden barrels, some of which are new. The wine then ages on the lees with bâtonnage for 12 months, before being bottled.
It has a golden color, while the nose expresses hints of fresh fruit, spices, honey and mineral notes. On the palate this white wine is fresh and lively, with a beautiful structure and a long persistence.
It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish or medium-aged cheeses.
