Description
The Madeira Finish Penderyn Whiskey was born in Wales, in the homonymous village of Penderyn. The distillery was born here, where a copper still designed by David Faraday was installed, descended from the famous 19th century scientist Michael Faraday. In 2004, Penderyn Whiskey officially saw the light, gaining esteem over time throughout the world, winning numerous awards and becoming a point of reference in the production of Single Malt Whisky.
The Whiskey is produced with the unique distillation system in the "single malts" category: a single copper still connected to two distillation columns. Maturation takes place in selected American oak barrels: in the first phase in barrels previously used for Bourbon and in the second phase in barriques used for the production of Madeira.
Bright amber yellow in color, it expresses fruity and spicy aromas on the nose, with hints of caramel, vanilla, resin and raisins. The sip is dense and velvety, characterized by sweet nuances of biscuits and custard, with finishes of vanilla and tropical fruit.
