Description
The Viognier Esprit de Crès Ricards was born in vineyards located in the village of Ceyras. The company was created in 1960 and currently manages approx. 42 hectares of vineyards.
The wine is made from 100% Viognier grapes which, once in the cellar, are destemmed and pressed. The must obtained is decanted at a low temperature, to then begin fermentation in steel tanks. Fermentation ends in oak barrels, where it remains for 4 months. The malolactic fermentation is carried out only for 30% of the wine. The refinement ends with a transfer into steel tanks, where the wine remains for a month.
Brilliant straw yellow in colour, the nose reveals aromas of apricot and dried fruit, enriched by spicy and vanilla hints. The sip is rich and powerful, with a long finish.
Excellent with Asian cuisine based on fish and spices, with roasted and grilled white meats.
