Description

The Alexaume red wine of the Domaine des Crès Ricards is born in vineyards located in the village of Ceyras and on the Terrasses du Larzac. The company was created in 1960 and currently manages approx. 42 hectares of vineyards.

The wine is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignano and Syrah grapes. The grapes are vinified with a 20-30 day maceration, while the Carignano undergoes a 17-day carbonic maceration. The refinement of the blend is held in wooden barrels for 6 months.

Intense ruby red in colour, the nose reveals aromas of black fruits, mocha and licorice. The sip is rich and opulent, with silky and long-lasting tannins.

Excellent with baked pasta and braised meats.
