Description
The Fleur de Pédesclaux is the Second Vin of Château Pédesclaux, a cellar located in the Médoc on the Rive Gauche, in the Bordeaux region. The Château was founded in 1810 by Pierre Urbain Pedesclaux, from whom it takes its name. Its vineyards have a privileged position, looking towards the Gironde estuary.
The Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot grapes are vinified with cold pre-fermentation maceration and fermentation in steel vats. Aging takes place in wooden barrels, 30% of which are new, and lasts 12 months.
Ruby red in color, the nose opens on a bouquet of black fruits, in addition to spicy notes. The sip is structured, with fine tannins and good persistence.
Ideal in combination with stewed red meats and aged cheeses.
