Description

Chardonnay Saurus from Familia Schroeder is a white wine produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes from Patagonia, Argentina. This region, characterized by a cool and windy climate, allows for optimal ripening of the grapes, enhancing the fruity characteristics and natural acidity of this grape variety.

After a manual harvest, the grapes are subjected to a short maceration of six hours in a pneumatic press. The alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas of the fruit. Then 40% of the wine is aged on fine lees, partly in steel and partly in third passage oak barrels, to add structure without covering the freshness of the wine.

On the nose it offers aromas of tropical fruit and citrus, accompanied by delicate hints of vanilla. On the palate it is well balanced, with a pleasant freshness and a light creaminess that enriches its consistency, leaving a persistent and harmonious finish.

It pairs perfectly with fish-based dishes, seafood or light white meats such as grilled chicken.
