Description
J. Lohr's Cabernet Sauvignon Seven Oaks is produced in the Paso Robles area and is named after 7 oaks over 30 years old that still stand out on the estate.
Large daily temperature variations and a pebbly and partly calcareous soil with excellent drainage allow the cultivation of the Bordeaux variety ensuring quality wines. After harvesting and vinification, the wine ages for 12 months in American oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
Intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, it opens on the nose with the intensity of blackberry jam, black currant and dark cherry, immediately emphasized by notes of hazelnut, coffee and pepper powder. The toasting returns to the palate for a full-bodied wine, with great structure and softness, with smooth and pleasant tannins. Along the finish for an intense and enveloping sip.
Perfect wine for grilled red meats and stews, it can be pleasantly consumed with mushroom risotto or pappardelle with wild boar sauce.
