Description
Yellow Rose Outlaw Bourbon is made in Houston, Texas, USA. The brand pays homage to Emily West Morgan, known as The Yellow Rose of Texas, a famous figure in American folklore for her participation in the Texan revolution in the mid-19th century that led to the independence of Texas from the Mexican government. As its name implies, this whiskey breaks all the rules of traditional bourbon.
Bourbon is made from 100% Texas grains, including Yellow Corn (maize, 67%), Elbon Rye (rye, 25%) and San Jacinto Malted Barley (malted barley, 8%). The whiskey is distilled twice and aged for over 30 months in American oak barrels.
It is a soft whiskey, where on the nose there are aromas of apple pie, strawberries, pecans and citrus fruits, as well as notes of sweet spices. The taste is sweet, balanced and complex, with a fairly persistent finish.
This whiskey can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
