Description

Rocca d'Orcia Villaggio red wine is produced by Podere Forte, located in the beautiful Val d'Orcia. The company is managed by Pasquale Forte, who in managing the vineyards and cellar is inspired by the principles of biodynamics and the thought of Rudolf Steiner.

It is composed exclusively of Sangiovese grapes, which are vinified with spontaneous fermentation in thermo-regulated French oak barrels. Both the malolactic fermentation and the 14-16 month refinement are held in French oak barriques and tonneaux. This is followed by 8 months in the bottle.

Ruby red in color, it opens to the nose with aromas of rose and cherry, enriched by spicy notes. In the mouth it is dry, with educated tannins and a good persistence.

Excellent to accompany legume soups and roasts.
