Description
Petruccino red wine is produced by Podere Forte, located in the beautiful Val d'Orcia. The company is managed by Pasquale Forte, who in managing the vineyards and cellar is inspired by the principles of biodynamics and the thoughts of Rudolf Steiner.
It consists exclusively of Sangiovese grapes, which are vinified with spontaneous fermentation in French oak vats, with a maceration of 16-26 days. Both the malolactic fermentation and the 14-month aging take place in French oak barriques and tonneaux. 8 months in the bottle follow.
Ruby red in colour, it opens on the nose with aromas of violet, plum and cherry, enriched with spicy and balsamic notes. In the mouth it is dry, with fine tannins and good persistence.
Excellent to accompany baked pasta and stewed red meats.
