Description

WhistlePig’s Old World Rye 12 Years Old is a one-of-a-kind American whiskey inspired by Scottish heritage. It has received prestigious international awards, including a double gold medal at the 2017 SF World Spirits Competition. Its distinctive character is that of an Old World Rye, combining American heritage with European aging techniques.

After spending 12 years in American oak casks, this whisky is further refined in a combination of Madeira, Sauternes and Port barrels. This final maturation process gives the whisky remarkable complexity and depth, enriching it with aromatic nuances that range from sweet to spicy.

The nose reveals intense notes of caramel, vanilla and winter fruit. The palate reveals flavors of rye spice, apricots, plums, raisins, dates and honey, offering a rich and enveloping tasting experience. The finish is long and persistent, with tones of dark chocolate, winter fruit, caramel and vanilla.

Perfect to enjoy neat or after dinner, enhancing the rich and complex flavours of the whisky.
