Description
Louis Jadot's Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Vaucrains is a Premier Cru of rare intensity and structure, born in the prestigious Côte de Nuits, between Prémeaux-Prissey and Vosne-Romanée. This area is renowned for its limestone and marl soils, ideally oriented to the east, which contribute to creating wines of exceptional depth and complexity.
The grapes, small and of an intense dark red colour, undergo maceration in open tanks for 4 weeks, allowing the terroir to express itself in all its finesse. The refinement continues for 18 months in oak barriques.
Ruby red in colour, the nose reveals intense aromas of blackberries, black cherries and a hint of wet earth, complemented by subtle notes of chocolate and sweet spices. On the palate the wine shows extraordinary concentration and depth, with robust yet smooth tannins that evolve towards a long and complex finish.
Perfect in combination with robust dishes such as roasts, game and mature cheeses.
