Description

In the heart of the renowned Nuits-Saint-Georges region, Domaine Jean Tardy & Fils expertly cultivates Pinot Noir, an authentic expression of the unique terroir of this area. The Aux Argillas wine is a tribute to the high quality Burgundian winemaking craftsmanship.

The harvest of perfectly ripe bunches is the prerequisite for the subsequent winemaking process. This starts with a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperature and continues with an alcoholic fermentation of 18-20 days. The refinement in oak barrels for 16-20 months enriches the aromatic profile of the wine, giving elegant and complex nuances.

With a dark and intense ruby red color, it opens on the nose with a broad bouquet with notes of cherry and blackcurrant, followed by hints of truffle and delicate spices. On the palate it is complex and balanced, robust and soft.

It pairs beautifully with second courses based on red meat and game.
