Description
Planeta's Noto Nero d'Avola Santa Cecilia was born in the Buonivini vineyard, located in the municipality of Noto, in the province of Syracuse.
It is produced exclusively with Nero d'Avola grapes, harvested only by hand. The grapes undergo a crushing and destemming, followed by 12 days of permanence on the skins. Subsequently the wine is aged in barrique at a controlled temperature for 14 months, before being bottled.
Santa Cecilia is characterized by a purple red color, tending to purple. The nose opens with hints of black cherry and ripe plums, enriched by pleasant spicy notes of carob and licorice. On the palate it is vigorous and smooth, with fresh and compact tannins.
Perfect to accompany red meats, game and roasts, it is ideal in combination with stews.
