Description
Planeta's Allemanda wine is a Moscato Bianco from the southernmost area of Sicily. The soils on which the vineyards grow are characterized by calcareous marl with a large, small skeleton and a fine texture, predominantly clayey and light in colour. Viticulture is managed according to the principles of sustainability and organic farming, contributing to excellent quality of the grapes and respect for the environment.
The harvest takes place at the beginning of August, with the grapes harvested manually and refrigerated overnight. After selection at the table, destemming and subsequent pressing takes place. The must remains at a low temperature for a few days before starting fermentation for 20-25 days in stainless steel tanks. The wine was further decanted, leaving it on the finest lees with weekly stirring for a period of 4 months followed by bottling.
The color of the wine is a very light yellow with green reflections. On the nose, notes of jasmine, rose petals, citrus fruits, pink grapefruit and a fresh sea breeze stand out. The taste is savory and fresh, with a balance and elegance that reflects the characteristics of the terroir.
This Moscato Bianco is perfect as an aperitif and goes well with Noto almonds, Nocellara del Belice olives, and cheeses such as vastedda or fresh tuma. It is excellent and versatile in combination with seafood dishes such as raw fish, seafood caprese, tomato and lobster cream or on prawns and other breaded crustaceans. Also ideal for enhancing spicy dishes with contrasting flavours. Its sunny and convivial aroma makes it perfect for enhancing the gastronomic experience.
