Description
The Nobile di Montepulciano Salco di Salcheto comes from the grapes of the most mature vineyard of the company, from which it takes its name. The winery is located on the Salcheto estate, located in the Sienese municipality of Montepulciano.
It derives from Sangiovese grapes, locally called Prugnolo Gentile, harvested exclusively by hand and slightly overripe. The fermentation in red is followed by an aging of 24 months, of which 30% in barrels and 70% in tonneaux. This is followed by 36 months of bottle refinement.
Deep ruby red in color, it expresses a bouquet rich in aromas of ripe red and black fruit, such as cherry and black cherry, as well as toasted notes. On the palate it is warm and intense, with a long finish.
Perfect in combination with red meat, game and mushroom dishes.
