Description
The Nobile di Montepulciano di Poliziano was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Montepulciano, in the Sienese hills.
It is mainly produced with Prugnolo Gentile grapes, synonymous with Sangiovese, and with Colorino, Canaiolo and Merlot grapes, harvested only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature with punching down that integrate the pumping over. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 16 months before being bottled.
This Nobile di Montepulciano is characterized by a clear ruby red color. The nose opens with hints of mulberry and plums, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of cinchona and tobacco. On the palate it is balanced, with smooth tannins and good freshness.
Perfect to accompany dishes with meat sauce, stews and roasts, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
