Description
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano of the Cantina Dei was born in vineyards located in the splendid setting of the Sienese hills.
It is produced with Sangiovese grapes, the dominant red grape variety in Tuscany, with a small addition of complementary grapes. The grapes undergo a soft pressing, a fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 26-28°C and a maceration of 15 - 25 days. The wine is aged for 24 months, 18-24 of which in Slavonian oak barrels.
This Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is characterized by a brilliant ruby red colour. It presents intense and fruity aromas to the nose, among which the ripe cherry and plum stand out. The taste is dry and balanced, with rounded tannins and a pleasantly persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with savory first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal to accompany roasts and grilled red meats, such as the traditional Florentine steak.
