Summary
- n. 2 Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, 0.75 ml
Description
The Nobile di Montepulciano of the Trerose estate is born in the south-eastern part of the oldest denomination in Italy, from a hilly landscape with a favorable exposure and nuances in the composition of the soil that can be found in every glass.
It is mainly obtained from Sangiovese grapes of the Prugnolo Gentile biotype, supported by small additions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation is carried out in steel containers with 18 days maceration at a temperature of 30 ° C. Aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months and for at least 4 months in the bottle.
It has an intense ruby red color, with garnet hues. The nose reveals clear and refined hints of morello cherry, blueberry, blackberry and licorice. The mouth re-proposes the olfactory theme, with an elegant tannin that is a prelude to a delicately mineral finish centered on tones of graphite and tobacco.
It can be appreciated in the company of roasted or grilled meats, it is ideal in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
