Summary
- n. 2 Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG Trerose, 0.75 ℓ
Description
The Nobile di Montepulciano from the Trerose estate is born in the south-eastern part of the oldest denomination in Italy, from a hilly landscape with a favorable exposure and nuances in the composition of the soil that can be found in every glass.
It is obtained mainly from Sangiovese grapes of the Prugnolo Gentile biotype, supported by small additions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation is carried out in steel containers with maceration for 18 days at a temperature of 30°C. Refinement takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months and for at least 4 months in the bottle.
It has an intense ruby red color, with garnet nuances. The nose reveals clear and refined hints of morello cherry, blueberry, blackberry and licorice. The mouth repeats the olfactory theme, with an elegant tannin that preludes a delicately mineral finish centered on tones of graphite and tobacco.
It can be enjoyed in the company of roast or grilled meats, it is ideal when paired with medium-aged cheeses.
