Description
Henry of Pelham Chardonnay is a white wine from the Niagara Peninsula, Canada, one of the country’s premier wine regions. This Chardonnay reflects the unique character of the area’s cool climate, offering a vibrant and bright flavor profile. The vineyards, located in the Short Hills Bench sub-appellation, are grown on loamy-lacustrine soils and are sustainably farmed.
After gentle pressing, the must is cold fermented in stainless steel tanks at 15-17°C, preserving the freshness of the fruit. The wine then undergoes refinement in French oak barrels, which helps develop greater complexity and texture, while maintaining a high level of delicacy.
In the glass it presents itself with fresh and intense aromas of green apple and grapefruit, typical of cool climates. On the palate this wine is bright and well-balanced, with a lively acidity that integrates perfectly with the fruity notes and the touch of oak that gives complexity and depth.
It pairs beautifully with creamy pasta dishes, trout and spring vegetables such as sweet peas.
