Nemea PDO Agyorgitico Syrah Notios 2022 Gaia Estate

Notios red wine is produced by the Greek winery Gaia, founded in 1994 on the island of Santorini. In 1997 a second one was opened in Nemea, in the Peloponnese, located at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level, where this wine is also born.

The wine is made from Agiorgitiko grapes with a small percentage of Syrah. Once in the cellar, the grapes are first refrigerated at 4 ° C, and then de-stemmed and macerated for 48 hours at 8-12 ° C. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, to which selected yeasts are added.

In the glass the wine appears ruby red in color. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red and black fruits. The taste is fresh, with silky tannins and a fairly persistent finish.

Excellent as an accompaniment to salami appetizers, baked pasta and meat sauce.
