Description

Navy Strength gin is produced by the Kimerud distillery in Norway. The botanicals for the gin are collected directly in the Kimerud Farm garden between May and September.

The distinctive trait of this Gin is the "Rhodiola Rosea", a herb harvested exclusively on the cliffs of the Arctic Sea in Northern Norway, which brings back the scents of the Arctic sea and which represents 57% of the aroma. The 22 herbs rest separately in alcohol for a few days, then are mixed together with other dried herbs following a specific recipe. This solution, after being filtered for the largest parts, is distilled together with lemon and orange peel, placed in a basket, to obtain more perfumes and aromas. Finally, everything is distilled 5 times, and at the end of the process only pure mountain water is added. Following distillation, the blend rests for 3-4 weeks before being bottled.

It has a raw taste and aroma and is well suited to be enjoyed in a dry martini and other cocktails that use gin as a base.
