Description
This Pinot Noir was born in the splendid vineyards of the Robert Mondavi Winery company. The Pinot Noir grapes come mainly from the best vineyards in the Central Coast and Lodi regions, where warm days and cool nights provide ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen, thus developing complex flavors and a deep, concentrated colour.
It is made entirely with Pinot Noir grapes, carefully harvested and selected. After a maceration lasting about 20 days, the wine is left to ferment in oak barrels. In the same containers, it is then left to evolve for about 5 months, in order to amplify its organoleptic characteristics, in harmony with the American wine culture. This is followed by bottling and aging in glass.
This Pinot Noir has a clear ruby red colour. The nose offers a captivating mix of ripe red cherries, violets and Asian spices with notes of sweet tobacco and vanilla. In the mouth it reveals a medium body and soft tannins, which accompany a lingering finish.
This wine is very versatile and pairs well with a range of foods including roast meats, poultry and cheeses.
