Description
The Riesling Höllenpfad from the Dönnhoff winery comes from a famous steeply sloping vineyard located in a small side valley in the middle course of the Nahe river. The soil is composed of red sandstone, which gives the wine an inimitable character. The vines are aged between 10 and 40 years.
The vinification of Riesling Höllenpfad involves controlled fermentation to maintain the freshness and liveliness of the flavors. Subsequently, the wine ages in stainless steel to preserve the aromatic characteristics and minerality given by the red sandstone soil. This winemaking technique allows you to obtain an elegant wine with excellent aging potential.
On the palate, the Riesling Höllenpfad presents itself with a clear, crisp acidity, balanced by distinctive spicy fruit notes. The aromas are reminiscent of ripe fruit with a touch of peppery spice, giving the wine a unique complexity. The minerality is evident and adds depth to the overall flavor profile.
This Riesling is perfect to pair with grilled fish dishes.
