Description
Dönnhoff's Riesling Spätlese Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle was born in the vineyard of the same name located in the Nahe region, Germany. This area is known for its high wine quality, with soil rich in black shale, porphyry, volcanic rock and limestone, which helps create wines of great character and finesse. The slope of the vineyard, which varies from 40% to 60%, and its southern exposure favor perfect ripening of the Riesling grapes.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, a choice that allows us to preserve the freshness and purity of the Riesling aromas. Fermentation and maturation in these containers help keep varietal aromas intact, giving the wine a clear expression of the terroir.
The Riesling Spätlese Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle presents a fruity and mineral bouquet, with notes of citrus, peach and white flowers. On the palate, it stands out for its residual sweetness well balanced by a lively acidity, which gives freshness and length. The elegant structure and complexity of the aromas make this wine an excellent choice for Riesling lovers.
This wine pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish and fresh cheeses.
