Description
Château Poujeaux is made from grapes from the Moulis-en-Médoc area, in the famous Bordeaux region.
It is obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels for 25 days. Subsequently the wine ages in French oak barrels for about 12 months.
Ruby red in color, Château Poujeaux opens to the nose with aromas of ripe red fruits, enriched with subtle spicy and coffee hints. On the palate it is opulent and fresh, characterized by a dense tannic texture that accompanies towards a pleasantly fruity and persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats in general, such as crusted and braised beef fillet, this Bordeaux wine is ideal in combination with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
