Description
Egon Muller's Scharzhofberger Riesling Spätlese originates from excellent vineyards in the unique Moselle area of Germany.
The grapes used to produce this Riesling Spätlese - pure Riesling Renano variety - undergo a slight over-ripening, so that they can be attacked by Botytis Cinerea, otherwise known as noble rot, which embellishes the fruit with complexity and aromaticity.
The color of this Riesling Spatlese is straw yellow and its olfactory bouquet includes peach, Golden apple, apricot but also the freshest notes of wild mountain herbs and a lively spicy tone that gives it a pungent trait. In the mouth, the balance reigns, designed between the highly pleasant sugar residue and the taut flavor, for a velvety and extremely mineral wine.
To be combined with dishes based on fish and white meat, also venturing some rather complex preparation. Suitable to accompany a risotto with gorgonzola and walnuts.
