Description
Maximin Grūnhaus' Abstsberg Auslese Grosse Lage is produced near the Moselle River and in one of the most suitable areas of the region.
The origin of the grapes from the Abstsberg vineyard ensures perfect south-southwest exposure, ideal for obtaining healthy and intact grapes. The grapes are immediately transferred to the cellar after harvesting to preserve aromas and fragrances. Fermentation is carried out spontaneously and at a controlled temperature by using wood or steel.
Intense yellow in color, it retains an elegant and ripe nose of tropical fruit such as pineapple and apricot, to jointly release hints of honey, almond and candied fruit. Despite the long maturation, on the palate the sweet component is well integrated with the acid one, giving an enveloping and pleasantly savory wine in the long finish.
Meditation wine, it surprisingly accompanies seasoned and spicy cheeses or traditional oriental dishes.
