Description
Cascina Valle Asinari's Moscato d'Asti is a sweet white wine produced with 100% Moscato grapes, grown in the Asti area of Piedmont, on calcareous clay soils. The vineyards are located at an altitude between 250 and 400 meters above sea level, with an east-west exposure, ideal for the aromatic ripening of the grapes.
The vinification begins with a soft pressing of the whole grapes, followed by the clarification and filtration of the must before fermentation in an autoclave at low temperature. The wine is bottled after a few weeks, thus preserving all the freshness and typical aromas of Moscato grapes. It is a wine to be drunk young to fully appreciate its fragrance and aromatic vivacity.
In the glass it is clear and straw yellow in color. On the nose it offers an intense aroma of moss, orange blossom, sage and honey. On the palate the flavor is sweet, balanced and reminiscent of honey and freshly picked grapes, with a persistent taste that prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
This wine is ideal to be enjoyed outside of meals or paired with desserts with a fine and delicate flavour.
