Description
The Morellino di Scansano Riserva of the MorisFarm company is born in vineyards located between the hills and the sea, in the splendid landscape of the Tuscan Maremma.
The harvest usually takes place in the last two weeks of September and the first week of October. We proceed to the vinification in vitrified concrete tanks with temperature control and two pumping over a day for a maceration period of 20 days. The subsequent maturation is in second and third passage barriques for a period of one year, with an intermediate racking and ends with an ageing in bottle for at least 6 months.
In the glass the wine is intense ruby red with garnet hues. The nose reveals a bouquet of roses and violets, red fruit and spicy notes. The sip is elegant, with a pleasantly persistent finish.
Excellent with first courses of meat or second courses of grilled meat.
