Description
The Monthélie from Domaine Coche-Dury is a fine Burgundy red wine, produced by one of the most renowned winemakers in the region, Raphaël Coche-Dury. Located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, with a vineyard area of 10.5 hectares, of which only 2.5 are dedicated to Pinot Noir, the domaine produces wines highly sought after for their finesse and complexity.
The winemaking follows traditional methods aimed at enhancing the purity and delicacy of Pinot Noir. The grapes are hand-picked and subjected to extremely gentle pressing to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The refinement takes place in barriques, half of which are renewed every year. At this stage, regular bâtonnage is carried out to enrich the wine with aromatic complexity and structure.
In the glass it presents itself with an intense and brilliant red color. On the nose it offers a bouquet rich in aromas of ripe red fruits, accompanied by floral notes and subtle spices that emerge with time. On the palate it stands out for its purity and delicacy, with soft and well-integrated tannins, which accompany a long and persistent finish.
This Pinot Noir is a high-class wine that pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as game birds, delicate red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
