Description

The Montescudaio Campordigno dei Marchesi Ginori Lisci comes to life from the organic vineyard of the same name, located in the Pisan municipality of Montescudaio, in the heart of the Upper Maremma.

It is produced entirely with Merlot grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C, for 20 days. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine rises in French oak barrels for 12 months, followed by a further 12 months of aging in bottle.

It has a purple, intense and brilliant ruby red color. The nose opens with a large and harmonious bouquet of cherry jam, black currant and red flowers, enriched with notes of vanilla and boisé. In the mouth it proves decisive and enveloping, with good tannins.

Perfect for accompanying first courses, in particular tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, it is ideal in combination with cured meats and medium-aged cheeses such as Pecorino.
