Description
The Maremma Toscana Barbaspinosa by Cantine MorisFarms was born in the Fattoria Poggetti area, located in Massa Marittima, in Tuscany.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested entirely by hand in the month of September. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with pumping over twice a day for a maceration period of 18 days. The wine ages in second passage barriques for about 12 months and for a further 4 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
Barbaspinosa has a brilliant and intense ruby red colour. The nose opens with an elegant and fruity bouquet, enriched by pleasant hints of black cherry, plum and currant, followed by notes of violet, vanilla and cyclamen. The scent is intense, elegant and refined. The taste is soft and persistent.
Its balance makes it a wine for the whole meal, particularly recommended in combination with meat-based dishes.
