Description
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Radici d'Italia by Terre Forti is a red wine from the picturesque region of Abruzzo. It is made primarily from Montepulciano grapes with the addition of other varieties. The vineyards are located in plains and hills at an altitude of up to 400 meters, with clayey-silty soil that favors good growth of the vines.
The vinification begins with a mixed harvest, both manual and mechanical, followed by destemming of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for a period of 10-20 days at a controlled temperature of 25-26 °C. Then the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged in steel tanks for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months before bottling.
It has an intense ruby red color and stands out for its typical hints of red and black fruit, accompanied by a light spicy note of green pepper. On the palate it is harmonious and well-balanced, with a pleasant final persistence. Its medium structure and slightly tannic character make it versatile.
This red wine pairs perfectly with meat dishes, vegetables and cheeses.
